How to Remove Foundation from Bdellium Tools Brushes
For Quick Daily Cleaning
Use: Bdellium Tools Makeup Brush Cleanser, micellar water, or alcohol-free brush cleaner spray.
Steps:
1. Lightly spray the cleanser directly on the bristles (avoid soaking the metal ferrule).
2. Gently wipe the brush on a clean towel or tissue in circular motions until product residue disappears.
3. Allow the brush to air dry flat or with the bristles hanging over the counter edge to maintain shape.
Tip: Quick cleaning helps prevent product buildup, especially with cream or liquid foundation.
For Deep Cleaning (Recommended Weekly)
Use: Mild liquid soap or brush shampoo (sulfate-free), and optionally a small amount of olive oil or cleansing balm for long-wear foundation.
Steps:
1. Wet only the bristles with lukewarm water — keep the handle and ferrule dry
2. Apply cleanser:
-Place a small amount of brush shampoo (and a drop of olive oil if needed) on your palm or a silicone brush cleaning pad.
3. Swirl gently to loosen foundation buildup.
4. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water until it runs clear.
5. Gently squeeze out excess water using a towel.
6. Reshape the brush head and lay it flat or slightly angled downward to air dry completely.
Avoid
-Soaking the entire brush in water (can loosen glue and damage handle).
-Using harsh detergents or alcohol-based cleaners (can dry out the synthetic fibers).
-Drying brushes upright — moisture can seep into the ferrule.
