Spring Brush Refresh – Cleaning & Care Tips

Spring Brush Refresh – Cleaning & Care Tips

We’ve spent the last few weeks building out the perfect spring face—now it’s time to give your tools a little love. Just like your skincare routine, keeping your brushes clean is key to flawless application and healthy skin.

The Trick: Keeping Your Brushes Fresh & Flawless

How Often Should You Clean?

  • For brushes used with liquids or creams (like foundation or concealer): once a week.

  • For powder brushes (blush, bronzer, highlighter): every 2 weeks.

  • For eye brushes: once a week to prevent product buildup and eye irritation.

How to Clean Properly:

  1. Use a gentle brush cleanser. Our Bdellium Tools Brush Cleanser is perfect for breaking down makeup without damaging bristles.

Plus, you can choose from three fresh scents: Citrus Lemon, Ocean Breeze, and Fresh Lavender—so your brushes are not only clean but smell amazing too!

  2. Wet the bristles (not the handle!) with lukewarm water.

  3. Apply a small amount of cleanser and swirl the brush on your palm or in the silicone cleaning pad (located in cap).

  4. Rinse until the water runs clear, and gently squeeze out excess water.

  5. Lay flat to dry—never upright, as water can loosen the glue in the ferrule.

Pro Tip: Deep clean once a month with a conditioning cleanser to keep bristles soft and effective.

Why It Works: Clean brushes not only apply makeup better but also prevent bacteria buildup, protecting your skin and extending the life of your tools.

Spring is the perfect time for a refresh—if your brushes have seen better days, it might be time for a swap. Our Bdellium Tools Brush Cleanser makes it easy to get that just-like-new feel.
