Step 1: Place your color before you reach for a blending brush. A blending brush diffuses whatever it touches. Placing shadow with a shader first gives the color somewhere to live before blending begins. The 777 Shadow is designed for shading the crease, lining around the edges, and applying eyeshadow across the lid. Press it into your chosen shade and pat it onto the area where you want depth. |
Step 2: Diffuse the edges, not the whole lid. Keep the blending brush at the perimeter of the color rather than sweeping across the entire lid. That's what keeps a bold look bold rather than diffused into nothing. The 776 Blending Brush diffuses lines and creates smooth transitions. Use it with light pressure along the outer boundary of the color you placed, with short strokes at the edge only. |
Step 3: Define the lash line with a smudge brush. A dense, short-headed brush presses color directly into the lash line and anchors the look. The 758 Large Smudge has a short dome-shaped head designed for shadowing and smudging around the lash line. Press it into a dark shade and work along the upper lash line in short patting strokes. |
Why It Works: Each brush serves a specific role in the sequence. The 777 places. The 776 softens edges. The 758 defines the lash line. Working in that order can help keep color concentrated where you want it. Try this on your Halloween look this year. Pack the color first and notice how much more control you have before the blending brush touches anything. |
