Using Both Sides of Your Brush to Apply and Blend in One Step
Step 1: Apply foundation and soften it without switching brushes. Here's how most people use a foundation brush: apply, set it down, pick up a blending brush, blend. That handoff costs time and often disturbs the product you just laid down. The 988 BDHD Phase I is a two-sided brush. One side applies liquid foundation in smooth, even strokes. Flip it and use the other side in circular motions to soften and set with powder. Application and blending happen with the same tool in the same motion. Sounds simpler than what you're doing now? It probably is. |
Step 2: Contour and highlight without a second brush. Contouring usually means reaching for a contour brush, placing the shade, setting it down, picking up a blending brush, softening the edge. That's four steps and two brushes for one product. The 968 BDHD Phase II handles both ends of that sequence. One side applies and blends highlight and contour precisely along the cheekbone. Flip it and use the other side to soften the result with powder in circular motions. The edge that makes contour look streaky or harsh gets diffused before you've even put the brush down. |
Step 3: Conceal and set the undereye area in one motion. The undereye is where most people spend the most time fussing. Applying concealer, dabbing it out, pressing powder over it carefully so it doesn't move. It's the fussiest part of a base routine. The 788 BDHD Phase III simplifies this. One side applies and blends concealer or eyeshadow precisely around the eye area. Flip it and use the other side to soften the finished look with a light dusting of powder in circular motions. The concealer stays put because you're setting it immediately with the brush already in your hand rather than switching tools and risking moving the product. |
Why It Works: Every time you switch brushes mid-application, you risk disturbing what's already in place. A two-sided brush minimizes that risk. You apply and blend with one tool, in one sequence, without the product shifting between steps. The BDHD design isn't just about convenience. It's about keeping products exactly where you intended them to go while simplifying the entire routine. Three brushes, six functions, a noticeably cleaner result. |
