I got these on sale after Cyber Monday for my birthday. I must say I love these brushes! They are so soft and they blend effortlessly. I'm ordering more even if they aren't on sale.

I am consistently impressed with the quality that bdellium provides at such an affordable cost. MAC who?

I've nitpicked every little thing I could about this set and honestly, I have nothing bad to say. bdellium, your prices are amazing and your respect for pro artists and animals are always fantastic. You put detail and ethic into your work and I love it.

I will never stop purchasing these products. While the yellow handles are not my favorite, they do bring life to a brush and has a unique marketing. The maestro and studio line are, for all intents and purposes, the same. I like the black handles a bit more, but that's me.

This set was an awesome purchase! Bdellium, I'm yours. Keep my card on file. LOL.

I was reluctant to get this set at first, then I got a 30% off coupon. For $40, it was a steal! As it was mentioned in previous comments, this set has everything you need, and you will not toss aside a single brush, since they all come in handy at some point. That said, I am no pro when it comes to eye makeup - hell, sometimes I feel like I have the skill set of a 7 year old going through her mother's makeup kit. These brushes literally helped me up my game. Having good brushes definitely makes all the difference, and considering the price, Bdellium Tools offer some great ones!

The angled brushes and blending brushes are very nice and feel soft on the skin. The problem was with the smudger, pencil, and small shader brushes. One literally left a small scratch on my lash line and I exchanged it for a new one after that. The new one wasn't the as scratchy but still very stiff and unusable. I thought maybe I was too sensitive and made the mistake of using it on a client and she told me to stop because the brush was hurting her. I've never had a client complain about me applying too much pressure or hurting them. It was extremely embarrassing and made me appear unprofessional. I've had drugstore brushes that were softer and prefer using unfortunately. The pencil brush was just as rough and hurt and scratched no matter how lightly I pressed. Since they are eye brushes they should be much softer. Again , I did love the blending brushes and angled brushes and they are very sturdy through the handles. I hate giving a bad review but I have to be honest. I wish I would have purchased the individual brushes instead of the set because I have a few brushes that are unusable

This was the first set of bdellium tools I have purchased. I had tried a couple of brushes in the past. So I thought why not brush sets tend to have the best deal per brush ratio. I can honestly say that for the price this is well worth it and beyond! For eye brushes you literally get everything in this set! Usually I get a brush or two that gets set aside and never use with other sets. But this is one set I can with all honesty say I have used every single brush countless times!

Love the overall value of these brushes (the cute pop of yellow isn't bad either)! The brushes are decent quality and come with a great variety. I also love the spoolie. Who doesn't love a good spoolie?

Okay first and foremost I have always been a Mac brush snob...That was until I discovered Bdellium tools.

I absolutely love their brushes and they are the ones I always reach for and the only ones I will use on my wedding day.

As far as quality, they are great no shedding what so ever.

They blend product beautifully and distribute it evenly.

No misshaping, no horrible glue smell, & ladies these are worth every penny if not more! I can't pick a favorite because I love them all.

I love my bdellium brushes and recommend them to all my friends, give them a try for yourself and you will become hooked as I have.

I'm not sure if there is a limit on much I can say, so I shall be short and concise. I've had this brush set now three months shy of a year, so I feel in a good position to give a review.

Quality:

The quality of these brushes are, in truth, second to none. Over the last nine months, I have used these brushes more times than I've had hot dinners. They have been deep cleaned many times, stuffed into bags, a manky old suitcase, squashed down into a drawer during a huge spring clean, and they also spent an entire week in direct sunlight while I was in hospital. Throw in the obsession my youngest has with the eyeliner brush, and you know this set has been through the ringer for sure!

Not once did the colour of the bristles or paint on the handles bleed. They have not lost their shape, they haven't frayed, bent, and nor have they shed so much as a single hair. I've used brushes from Mac, Sigma, cheap sets from eBay, and various other makes in my quest to own as many cosmetics and tools as possible, and not one of them has come close to being of the same standard as Bdellium. Nor is there an extremely overwhelming smell of glue like I had from my brush set from Elf.

The bristles are soft and there is no 'scratchy' feeling when using them, unlike my Sigma brush, which feels as though I'm using rough cotton wool to apply my highlighter. Not a good thing, as I'm sure you can imagine. The bristles on Bdellium tools are also anti-bacterial, and 100% cruelty free, and in an age where animal welfare is gaining more notice, this shows Bdellium was already on the ball by having cruelty-free tools right there.

Other makes, such as Mac, Revlon etc, are simply jumping on the bandwagon in order to gain the sales they lost when people began to realise animals were, in truth, being abused in order for their brushes to be made. Those whom are jumping on the bandwagon in righteous indignation simply make me shake my head, for I know they don't really care one way or another, but Bdellium has been cruelty free for a long time, and that inspires confidence in me.

Cost:

I honestly believe Bdellium are selling themselves short by not charging the full worth of their tools, but as a customer, I'm sincerely grateful for this. Sigma is half the price of Mac, and yet their prices do not reflect the sad quality of many of their brushes. Mac is incredibly overrated, too, I feel, as who would pay $57, or £39 GBP, for a powder brush? Even many professional makeup artists use Mac, and I feel like hollering at them, and pointing in Bdellium's direction "You should be over here!"

I've used word of mouth for Bdellium to anyone and everyone! My friends, my optician, one of my doctors, the receptionist at the wheelchair clinic I attend, and... Oh, so many others. With Bdellium, you don't just get what you pay for. You get more. You get quality for a fraction of what Mac would charge, you get a company you can honestly trust to be genuinely cruelty-free, and you get tools that have incredible longevity.

So for $56, or £38.26 in GBP, you're getting an entire eye makeup brush set that's worth at least double. I know for certain that if Bdellium charged their actual value, there would be a lot more professionals using them out there in the world, and it's sad just how true that is. Sadder still is just how effective a good marketing campaign and hype can be.

Favourite Brushes:

The 776 blending brush ~ Oh, how I love this brush. I'm a petite woman, who has petite everything, from ear canals so small, I can't use ear-bud headphones, to small eyes. There are very few blending brushes that are small enough for me to be precise when it comes to blending out my eyeshadows, and so the 776 is a blessing in disguise! You can get right into the inner eye corner, can produce a colour gradient or 'ombre' effect with such ease, and you can make a softened look as exact as you can make a bolder line.

772 small shader brush ~ Again, my petite eyes have been an issue when it comes to shadow brushes, and again, Bdellium comes through for me. I use this brush in place of standard eyeshadow brushes, simply because I can be precise without having to use a small flat eyeliner brush to do what I want to do.

755 smudge brush ~ If I was forced to immediately evacuate my house and I only had 5 seconds to pack, it would be my cats, my memory sticks, my Bdellium 755, and my Labyrinth tea mug, and in that exact order! Never have I owned such a versatile brush. I've used this smudger for eyeliner, highlighting the inner corner, darkening the outer corner, defining the outer 'V' shape, tight-lining, applying glitter, applying lipstick, and I've used it for mixing foundations. A brilliant and multi-functional little brush indeed!

735 lash brush ~ My eyelashes are very long, and when I use mascara with the accompanying wand, I'm often left with spider legs. Long lashes, but skinny and no thickness anywhere to be found. This lash brush fixes that, and I've always got perfect lashes to flutter. It looks like a standard lash brush, but take it from me that it isn't. I don't know what sorcery Bdellium used to make this lash brush, and to be honest, I care not!

The other brushes are, of course, of the same excellent quality, and do their job beautifully, it's simply a fact that these three brushes stand out to me for my personal features. I'm very much looking forward to adding to my collection, though I do wish with all my heart that Bdellium had a brush similar to the Expert Face brush by Real Techniques, which I've just recently had to purchase.

I love Bdellium if you haven't gathered, and I felt like I was cheating on them by having to buy a brush from another make! Not to worry, as I'm certain Bdellium will fix this as soon as can be *hint hint*

Enjoy your tools, fellow Bdelliers! I would love hear about your personal favourites, and would love even more to hear recommendations about Bdellium brushes.

Much love, and thank you for being a trustworthy brand,

Judith xxx
